lol @ Lwanga and Okoji! This place is called Positano and it's not for the faint hearted! The Villa at the top if my memory serves me right is Sophia Loren's home

The old dear get around on scooters, wheel chairs etc. The reason I love this place is that it reminds of Kabale just that Kabale is not overly built up!

And Kabaale is not that high rated in crime, the last time I was in Italy, I lost a few hundred £'s after using the ATM, OR  call it CASH MACHINE. It will take me sometime before I think about going back.

Lwanga, strange you say that. I was in Milan last year and my Debit card was cloned after I used it in one of the cash machines out there! I do love Italy and it will take more than that to put me off!

This Reminds me a little bit of terraced hills with posh mansions in Johanesburg, South Africa.

This place must be ancient and historical and some piece of art in itself

Naomi, it's very modern you would be surprised! becasue it is so hilly it appears that they find a flat space and squeeze in as many houses. This is a palce to get fit without expensive gym fees, that is if you can saty off the pasta and pizza

This is admirable at how the engineers and architectures made use of the local landscape putting it to maximum use.  They prolly took a leaf out of some W.African country I cannot recall which took to building in a similar manner.  Whats also impressive, if this is along the same area leading up to the border with Switzerland, is the road along the mountain jutting in and out of tunnels dug in the mountains.  Sadly it's also a major route for RTAs!

I guess if u wanna borrow some salt from a neighbour in Amalfi, u just go 2 your balcony and holla. No need 2 bother climbing the steep stairs 2 their house. They in turn, just chuck the salt down @ u. U gotta be a good catcher or else...

kaks, u r funny, actually they tend to sit around on their balconies a lot so passin salt would be fairly easy

SB is that the one that runs through the Austrian ALPS? If so I would be surprised that there are rats! it's very cold

I suspect much so.  I witnessed some terrible RTA - seeing as they don't have speed limits.

Rats can adapt V - also they can burrow in the caves of the mountains...
