Wonder how well internal tourism is promoted in Ugda (and perhaps, how affordable it is) - I lived there till I was almost 30, but saw my first lion, giraffe, elephant, etc in Ontario, Canada!

Ton.... I totally agree.

And this is the main focus of UGPulse's Travel channel. We are looking to educate people about various places in Uganda/Africa and not necessary trying to call out to western tourists.  Please take a look at some of these articles on the channel and tell us what you think by discussing the articles... give us some ideas on what else we can do or where we need to visit..lol... we'll try and get a reporter out there.

Ton'Ipiye, I think the problem is that most Ugandans would rather spend their money hanging out and going on drinking binges than visiting local parks. Hopefully that will change. I lived in Uganda for 14 years and made an effort to visit as many local attractions as i could. But ALWAYS had a hadr time convincing my fellow local Ugandans to trot along.

Monica,.. Is it the wild life centre in Entebbe that you visited? if so I prefer that centre to the London Zoo and of course the likes of  London zoo "stole" most of the animals from Africa. I also fail to see the point of a zoo in a palce like Uganda or anywhere in Africa for that matter when animals can be viewed in there natural habitat. I read the visitors book at Murchsion falls as well as that at QNP and the comments from the bazungus were "we prefer viewing wild life in Uganda than Kenya, as here the animals appear in their natural habitat as oppossed to Kenya where they appear to be paraded" next time you are in UG please make it a point to venture beyond the wildlife centre and I promise you, you and your family will not be disappointed:-)
