To what to owe this honour of seeing so much matooke being prepared? Is a wedding in the offing Admin?
Hey I forgot to add... preparing matooke as I recall required the lady to dress in gomesi and kneel down properly not squat on a stool. I was told it was bad karma for the food to "flash" at it during preparation.
Now that is cruel and unusual punishment to emboozilist who cannot get matooke at all until they go back to the mother land..............lol
SB you are right they are not dressed properly to peel matooke
Dressing aside banange where does one get matooke near Zürich, Aya I cant wait to raid that place...
catch swissair and c'mon over to the UK for kitobero
I strongly agree Rb, no offence but first of all where do i find matooke around New York area
Sb, U can see the urge for the stuff, even in Arua the ting is on demand but whoz gonna respect da original dress code in Arua. Munange gomesi is becoming a ting of da pst these dayz it is bitengi even in lumbe.
Have you seen how da gomesi fashions are changing? Go to any kwanjula. No meaning at all!!!!
Hello SB
Do you get matooke in UK, if you do, tell me where to buy it and I will eat matooke the whole time I will be visiting with my daughter...........LOL
QS, sadly i will not be here when you arrive to take you to all the places with matooke, my fav is in a place called Isleworth, I will mail you the guys number
Glen - I agree at gomesi is impractical esp if you are not brought up accustomed to wearing it. The hours it takes to straighten that kitambala let alone the inner workings!!! and then the walking applied... bitengi is much easier to accommodate.
QS - just holler my way when you get in. you can eat matoke from the day you land to when you depart. I can have a box delivered down to your daughter's place. Do you also like groundnut sauce? Unfortunately customs are getting jittery - at importing in fish and meat products from home of recent even by the legalised importers. Otherwise, I'd get you the semmutundu eyakabina to mix with the groundnut sauce.
Hey SB
GF I will send you my daughter's address and you can ship the matooke minus the fish plus the gnuts....LOL
