Karuma falls has the potential for Hydro electric power enough to suppy, Bunyoro region, Northern Uganda, easter DRcongo and Southern Sudan. Then the industries can be moved to Karuma for development of that rural area as well.

Well said Tiica!

Would it not be just the way forward, were this to be the case that industrialisation is not just contained in one region?

Khumalo - were you touring or working [(: ugpulse] on these travels when you took this foto?

Khumalo,

while on your visit did you throw in a few flowers to pay respect to the soldiers who perished here at the NRA war front.

My cousin brother was among the troops. He survived and has told stories of  bad memories and good memories of Victory

Am not sure the government is anxious to develop that part of th country coz they would have constructed a dam here to supply power in the whole country instead of crowding Jinja...

Breathtaking. Every God-fearing Ugandan should feelthe beauty and the majesty of this place. But I sincerely do think the bridge itself begs for attention. I always hold my breath on a crossing because it looks so dangerously narrow and drivers have that urge to slow down on the incline and speed up when they see the bridge round the bend ahead.
