For sure,this is kalina house. or is it kalina abiri. the gentlemen who built this house is quite innovative.  I have surely seen a house like this one  on the Busujju -Kiboga road. I guess what one sees in Kampala the bonnna bagagawale programs and the Commonwealth meeting economic temperatures that have risen with the recent construction of the  kalina houses,the skyscrapers-- its these may be that make him think he can impress others to come and rent his house.

Do not dismiss this property.  It depends on the location of the property and the building permits required to remodel.  It is happening in my adopted city.  People buy rundown property in a nice neighbourhood; tear down all the walls accept for one and build a new home and call it remodel there by avoiding paying higher property tax if you remodel.  Then they wait a year later and tear down the remaing old wall and put something else, there by aquire new home without tax implications.

So that person might have an angle.  What is the price?

I think the Embozi group should buy the property as investment again it depends on location.  Kaks will be the leader on the project.  We all have been talking about what we can do to help our country to develop.  We tear down the original house or keep it as a reminder.  We can then turn the property into a dormitory for low income or students or turn it into affordable rent house for the working poor.  The goal is not to make a lot of money, but to make enough to be able to fund other projects.  I say if we all contribute $100 if is achievable.  What do you guys say and think?

This time I’m making my two cents worthy contribution of this embozi work to support our motherland.  On the other hand the original house should stay as a guest house to the Diaspora people to stay in and relax before they face their families and friends…….LOL

Yes Kaks we are not interested in the house; just the property, the land.  Tear the house down and build a new modern home or appartments depending on how big the property is.  Like I keep saying location is important.  The property must be close to a university and close to power or must be within the out skirts of a town.

Oh yes I had said i have seen this house before, it used to be on the Busunju - Kiboga - Hoima road. The last time I saw it was about 10 monhts ago, though I cannot locate the exact village where it is, but am sure it is  between Kiboga town and Busunju. I will try to get contacts from home and send ypou a feed back as to where. Hey, i just hope the  Busunju  - Kiboga - Hoima road construction team has not cleared it as they work on expanding te road now that plenty of  OILO has been found near Lake Albert.

May be we should ask ADMIN to send Businge Gerald - aouthor of interesting articles on Ugpulse to make research on this house. But am sure the one I SAW IS ON THE MENTIONED ROAD !! i JUST ADMIRED THE  TRAD-MODO (traditional -modern) TECHNOLOGY.

This is a historical house.  First high rise in Busunju village.  This house should be kept to remind us where the foundation of highrises started in Africa.  It should be kept in the museum of houses so that our future children can witness the foundation of our forefather's which they laid for all of us to start thinking living well.  Hey! this man is a genius.  He has trully made history.  I would like to buy this house and the land sorrounding this historical house.   I would like to tell you all that this house is worth a million dollers.

I give the man who build this house thumps up. We should have more men in Africa who thinks just like this man.  This man thinks beyond any other men sorrounding his village.  It is good to know that there is such a man who thinks day and night to make ourlives better.  Any thing a man done to change our lives is respected a million times.  May the Lord make this man go to school and make his dream of building highrises come true.  He just needs a little bit of pushing and everything will be allright.

OK fellows. We need 2 go & check this house out. Magidalena Mukabya says it is in Busunju. Emboozilists in UG, I say we jump in a taxi & go find this house. We speak 2 the owner & take a few pics. May be we can even have a picnic, eat some of the guy's ffene/miyembe and then come make a report here. I am made 2 understand the emboozists in diaspora r serious about buying the house!!

laughing aside this is the usual of construction in the madagascan villages i travelled through, they add a balcony to the front and sometime stairs leading upstairs are visible too!

You need to be paid to get into the house as it can fall anytime,it is however very innovative architecture which needs to be perfected.Well done to the designer.It may not be fit for human habitation but definitely chicken would do well residing in such a haven.
