Thanks Vision. I think the issue has been that freefufu has been unreliable since it became freefufu.com UNTIL recently.... because a lot of it was still being set up.... This always creates less participation. Before that UGPulse.com(including the discussion area) was also unreliable since November 2007.
The history is that we were quietly having issues with the server since Nov 07 that reduced participation.... UGPulse issues went away(around March 08) to a great extent because we freed it of the discussions component and migrated the site(UGPulse.com) to a more reliable remote location. Meanwhile Freefufu.com became the remainder of the site that could not be moved remotely... so the discussions area was still sick(on my server). The server was on band aids due to hackers.
By freeing the discussions area of the main site(UGPulse.com), we (...lol....I mean "I") have eventually managed to stabilize freefufu.com technically and looks like people are begining to realize and feel it and begining to post... phew.... lol I've learnt to be patient.
Basically A LOT has been going on in the kitchen over here.... sometimes I feel like a mad scientist who does not know what he is doing...lol. Right now I feel like we have "EVENTUALLY" managed to get back to were we were in November 07 from a TECHNICAL standpoint... my gawd... eventually!!!!!!!
In terms of visitorship, WE HAVE NEVER REALLY SLOWED DOWN. Now thats interesting!!... and I thank you all for your trust in the product. We are getting more and more users from around the world...... Especially with the Beauty Pageants.... Ethiopians, Eritrians, Rwandese, Ghanaians are quietly watching UGPulse and FreeFufu.... So Ugandans are now on everyone's radar...lol.. watch out!.... all because of you guys.
To help attract contributions to the forums I ask that whenever you are at another site is a discussion area, please slip in a UGPulse link and have their members check us out. I know that Sugarbabes has helped UGPulse a lot in this area.
It has been a great battle and with some persistence I think we are back on track. The hackers are simply training me to tighten my ship... haha!
All the best!!
And to the Londoners... see u all in London this weekend!
Peace!!
