I like the idea of Dual Citizenship....

its the way forward for Uganda to attract massive outside investments especially from UGANDANS staying outside and from those other nationals who want the Ugandan citizenship

I hope it materializes for the good of Uganda. As pipo are looking for the 4th term ya Mzee M7, he may lobby that it be granted or passed as bill of Parliament...... we have 3 yrs to the next elections in 2011 and the olitical temperatures are already heating up..... I guess its typical of uganda to do so since we live right on the EQUATOR

Hello TIICA good to hear from you.  I think it will be great for us to have dual citizenship.  Admin when you find out pass the word so we can get the necessary papers and reclaim our citizenship.

About the investments in Uganda it is very difficult to know what business to trust enough to put your money down.  The corruption just scares some of us away from investing in our mother country.  Dealing with family members never works, all you get are heads and your money ends up in a deep dark hole.  And politicians can never be trusted to put the proper laws in place to protect the investor.  I would love to invest in some renewable energy in Ug with the proper company without fear of loosing my money.  And I'm not a rich person, but if you think about it if all the Ugandans living overseas and if each one of us put $1000 in a renewable energy venture we can make a small dent in power shedding and create jobs for Ugandans.  Can anyone shed some light on Ugandan Stock Exchange.  Can one buy the stock on the internet?
