For all their good intentions, I am yet to hear of any African beauty queen or other sort of celebrity that lives in a western country mention that there is anything they want to learn from the common people living in Africa. I don't want 2 sound like I am dissing these wonderful pipo but it seems they have more of what they want to offer to Africa than they are willing to learn from Africans living in Africa. Is it the case that when we leave Africa and live in these countries we tend to think we know more and are more exposed than our folks back home?

naah Kaks, anyone that thinks that needs a session with the pentecostal lot... and i tell you there is nothing common about ppl in Africa... if you want to see common come to a high in inner cities back here... lager louts etc...many of the folks back home have skills that I envy... I only did one term of home economics at my school which mean my dressing making skills for instance are none existent...

Admin - this is gonna be one tough competition to judge!  I don't in anyway envy the judges who have to do the deed! Thanks for the continued expose of all the aspirants.

btw - did I read/see it somewhere that there is to be a Mrs Africa in Kenya or somewhere thereabouts??? I

Back to Miss Africa USA '07, I am spoilt for choice cause all these ladies look hot.  So bring it on, may the best lady win...

You and Ms Pauline are most welcome and ma thanks extend to her of course!

On reading through the interviews of these lovely ladies as well as those from similar pageantries elsewhere, I couldn't help but wonder if ever we are going to have a contestant come out boldly and say that they want to win the contest purely because they know they are beautiful; and that they deserve it so that they can use the prize to fund their own personal ventures of living it like a starlet!  In this day and age where reality shows are about being as loud as possible - I am just wondering when the bubble is going to burst...

Of interest, how many African countries are going to be represented in this pageant stateside - and Oloya, what stake have you got in getting us all to vote for your choice?

That's a great observation but actually...If you read my bio and the answers to the questions that were asked, I do talk about my people and how great they are.  It's not all about me when it comes to Uganda, It's about the country as a whole.  I love my people and I would LOVE to learn many things from them.
