should anglican churches in africa join their counter parts in the USA and embrace the consecration of gay bishops

The episcopal church, the U.S wing of the anglicanism appointed a gay bishop in new hampshire in 2003.

    African bishops threaten breakup

For or against? and please give reasons whatever the angle

Why not, they are just as human like us… everyone to their orientation as long as its not forced onto another person.

Church of Uganda to skip talks over gays

I read that the Church of Uganda is to boycott the Lambeth Conference 2008 if bishops supporting homosexuals are invited, was the announcement of Archbishop  Henry Luke Orombi head of the Church of Uganda

The Europenas and the Americans  of the Lambeth Protestant Conference are afraid that Nigeria, Uganda and South Africa may lead the break away from the BIG ANGLICAN COMMUNION as they dont want to support the same sex church marriages. And this is likely to be a big blow to the Communion. Orombi is a hardliner and not willing to compromise the religion of faith as has been handed to the Ugandans for generations. Uganda has gone ahead even to put a moratorium, a ban on all funds coming from Europeanaand USA Dioceses that support same sex marriages , saying that for Africans in the African culture its unheard of and for christians is unacceptable. But the Bazungu say -- no problem, we are the superior ones and we decide for all -- HAKUNA MATATA ! Saa Mbaya. in swahili

Likewise, i dont take instructions from the church, or any other faith based organization in the first place given their history of violence, deception, and corruption

What does the bible say about love? and what kind of relationships are there in the bible?

If the church can accept pedohiles amongst its ranks, what moral authority has it got to stop homos becomimg priest or getting married or forming a loving relationship?

In anycase all that is needed in a relatioship is LOVE.

Does Orombi want his culture to be part of the scriptures too?

Re: The West rushing to AFRICA?

TICCA: amazing how these people of God preach hatefull myths to their folks. Anthropological, sociopolitical studies and historical evidences indicates that same sex relationship in africa is older than Xtianity...So it is homosexuality and not christianity that is ancestral to Africa. For more on this read

BOY WIVES AND FEMALE HUSBANDS . studies in African homosexuality (Stephen O murray and will Roscoe 2001)

Either these faith heads are in denial or just plainly living in wilfull ignorance
