     I hear that

     Land Redistribution

may be done,  it is to be done

FOR GOD and MY COUNTRY.              http://www.ugpulse.com/articles/daily/Business.asp?id=379

But who are the beneficiaries of this proposal,      http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/459/564185

is it the foreing investors who want the land for development projects?

or is it the Government  trying to create base for the National Revenue Collection?

May be that way the  Revenue money can go to the new BONNA BAGAGGAWALE - Prosperity for all Program!

    Re: Re:Government Redistribution of Land

Redistribution of land can be achieved when the rightful owners are compensated fully by Government.

We should look at the cultural or natural landscaping, prospects and aspects including aesthetics or beauty before development.

Worst is the fact that some displaced people settle on other peoples land with the aim of grabbing the land.

Some areas are still not yet compensated for the land that was taken away from the rightful owners.

    Government redistribution of Land

Word on the Street: Government Redistribution of Land

In the recent months there has been a lot of talk by  elders from Buganda, Bunyoro, and now also Acholi joining the group and saying that the central government should not just send investors to certain areas without the knowledge of the people of those Kingdoms or Areas or regions.... even if its for development because they want to know if the land is for the goverment or for the Bunyoro kingdom or for the Buganda Kingdom .

The Bristish who were here as colonial masters 1862-1962 left behind a country at Independence day )ct 9th 1962, a country whose land system was not well pronounced..... the mailo land seems to have been in Buganda and not clearly indicated elsewhere --- and the end result today is that parts of Bunyoro, Northern and easter Uganda do not have land titles and  as the UPE Uganda Population Explosion is taking place rapidly there is need to look into the land matter before tribal clashes come out in a very loud  way. take the example of OIL in Bunyoro - Bunyoro wants a given percent of the revenue to stay and develop the Bunyoro region, the Banyoro-Bagungu say no to Balaalo gone to Buliisa, the Baganda saying no to governments idea of transfering the Pastoral Balaalo to Buganda soil of Kiboga District, the Banyoro saying no more Bakiga banyankole migrants to Kibaale District of Bunyoro

Its Buganda saying we want our 9000 sq miles land all given back to us by the central government

Its Bunyoro saying that the  4000 Kibaale district land titles are still in Buganda hands

                                    http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/18/585411

Its Buganda saying we want Ebyaffe and Bunyoro also saying we want Ebyaitu --- its now FEDERO . Its some Baganda elders saying that if Buganda's requests for Ebyaffe are not met Buganda may seccede from Uganda

    But Kabaka Ronald  Mutebi

is opposed to the idea seccesion and opts for close cooperation with other regions and kingdoms in a concerted effort by all to seek for granting of FEDERO Status to the regions

    Well,
