    Nanganda,

its a sad story that the graet singer is gone, there was talko f him and his music  having been branded the CONTRY MUSIC of Uganda just as the Americans have the Country music  base in Tennesee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6tGyNVVBwk&NR=1 - sample some of his music....

True - he was undisputably one of the greatest composers - there's an art to the ability to sing without the need to recyle.  I have faith however that he sowed the seed amongst those that have been working with him especially the 'Kadongokamu' school which I hope will continue to nurture upcoming talents in his footsteps.

Those that can pay their condolescences - I propose this is done in a practical means of sustaining the talent of future composers in this industry.

Gerald - Thank you so much for the speed in which you took to cover this story. Myself and many others that visited the site have commented on how not only is the site very impressive in it's homepage now but also on the style and richness of the articles covered.  Thank you.

Yes we lost a huge contribution in the field of local homegrown compilation and composition in the folklore music arena.  The challenge is I think is to all those interested in sustaining folklore music of this calibre to support various reputatable organisations who are working to see this torch carried forth.

He died young I agree but I feel in the lyrics of his music he had lived out what most of us can only dream to attain in that short space of time.  One can only hope that the gift of his works is something that can benefit both young and old in years to come  - he wasn't perfect (nor indeed is this a perfect world!) nor preach that we do as he did, but rather warned us of the choices our actions brought to this world.
