UGPulse is technically based in the Washington, DC metro area but most of the content comes from Ultimate Media Consult ( www.ultimatemediaconsult.com ) who we have formed a unique partnership with. Over time we are only getting better. We now have an editor based in Kampala and a photo editor(who now also produces the Photos of the Day) also in Kampala.
As for the timely coverage, i was shocked to get the message of the breaking news on Thurs from Ultimate Media Consult... this was before I even knew about it... The nature of the site allows us to quickly publish articles once we get them... Ultimate Media Consult publishes news on the site at will while they send articles over for publishing.
