And so it was that after the death of his father King Olimi Kaboyo of Toro kingdom, the young boy of three and a half years wasenthroned the king of Tooro kingdom and this marked the beginning of a challenging and exciting period for the people of Tooro who are blood brothers and sisters of the Banyoro. And the ascension of king Oyo to his fathers throne as king of Toor earned him a place in the Guinness Book of world Records as the youngest reigning monarch
Tooro Kingdom was originally a province of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom www.bunyoro-kitara.com till 1830 when Prince Kaboyo, one of the sons of King Nyamutura of Bunyoro rebelled and declared toro and Independent kingdom http://www.torokingdom.org/ . Because of the love for his son, Nyamutura let his son Kaboyo be king of Toro . the Banyoro and batooro are one and the same people but residing in different regions.
