The war in the north of Uganda has been raging on for the last twenty years - almost since the coming to power of the NRM led Government in 1986. And since that time af far back as 1986 the Lords Resistance Army = LRA has waged a war against the Uganda government and its Uganda Peoples Defence Forces = UPDF. the LRA has abducted boys and girls and taken them to serve in its ranks of the army and the girls serving as wives and as soldiers. thanks to pressure from the international community and from the Uganda Government, there is now hope for peace in northern Uganda --- but the question still remeins to be answered by the LRA --- where are all those boys and girls that were recruited or better still captured and abducted and taken intoo captivity of the LRA? Where are the many gil-child that were captured and abducted and taken by the LRA to serve as child soldiers?
Its a shame
that Africa's fragmented rebel liberation movements
and fragmented national liberation armies
are still targeting the innocent
and especially
the young girl-child
for forced labour and early marriages
in the so called rebel liberation armies across Africa
THIS PRACTICE MUST STOP
and thus a chance be given to the children
to go back to school and live a normal life
