UN.Chief: Rich nations must help Africa
Tuesday, September 23, 2008 10:19 AM

Africa seems to be the place
that will be hit worst by
the
current global economic crisis.

Its only a few months ago and it was the world food price crisis
and then it was also the world gas price crisis,
and now its the collapse of the major banks in the first world
as these banks are becoming bankrupt
and the major rich nations proposing to help solve this crisis
one wonders how the economies of third world countries will survive.

And now under the cloud of a global financial crisis
that began in USA's Wall Street Episode and is now sweeping across Europe,
the UNITED NATIONS Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has as of Monday Sept 22, 08
URGED THE WORLD'S RICH NATIONS TO SPEND $72 billion a year
to HELP AFRICA to achieve the UN Millenium Development Goals
which were set in 2000 and have them achieved by 2015.

The goals are mainly:
to FIGHT POVERTY,
IMPROVE HEALTH
and ensure compulsory
UNIVERSAL PRIMARY EDUCATION

UN Chief:
RICH NATIONS MUST HELP AFRICA
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26839643

UN: says:
AFRICA COULD BECOME BREAD BASKET
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26892852

Africa must be helped to produce and export plenty of foodstuffs
Given the right investment in agriculture Africa has the potential to become
a major food producer ratheer than be the epicenter of much of world starvation

But will the Rich nations respond positively to this call
or are they likely to be protectionist and
think of saving and preserving their economies first?

Some people think AFRICA is poor
Africans are poor because they are lazy!!
this is an insult to Africa.....
QUESTION>>>
who took away the most talented africans
and took sold and bought them as slaves?
who has syphoned away African natural resources?

The fisrt world and the rich nations have the moral obligation
rto help Africa rise out of poverty  because they destablized Africa!!!!
and failure to help the growing many third world population
will most likely lead to a catastrophic clash between the Rich and poor nations

One wonders what happened to the small village that was so welcoming to every one? but all of a sudden things have changed and for Italy and South Africa if you are no a wanaichi - citizen the get out of our land.

Did we not hear of this as well in Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom www.bunyoro-kitara.com among some people of Banyoro of Kibaale District refusing the migrant Bakiga new settlers that they have become numerous in theKibaale District and that theBakiga or Bafuruki=new migrant settlers are beginning to take key positions both politically, economcally and educationwise not to mention that they are also becoming a bigger force in numbers in the churches be it Bunyoro Kitara C.O.U Diocese or Hoima Catholic Diocese , the Moslem community or even among the Baikiriza of the Sect or Cult of Dosteo Bisaka Owobusobozi the self acclaimed God?

But with South Africa about to host the World Cup Football competitions in 2010 how will pipo view SAfrica?

Can Preseident Thabo Mbeki stop the killing of foreigners in South Africa?

 http://www.newsweek.com/id/139344

Can Italy also find ways to stop the Anti immigrant Violence that is rising?

Is it not also the politics behind the Hilary vs Obama wordy-conflicts:

who has the right to be here and be active in heading the US Presidency and its politics?

and seeing that the American Politics

for the Presidential elections

has the key question..........

How ready is America for

The USA and the whole world is looking on ans waiting to see who will come to stage as the next US President. But as the outgoing British Priminister said as he left office for the new one Tony Blair, the outgoing one said or gave the most remarkable statement of the century that :

 "WHEN

THE CURTAIN FALLS,

 THEN ITS TIME

TO GET OFF THE STAGE." because the show or the play will have ended.

Hi USA

Come on AMERICA,

Come in America, welcome to the world stage of Presidential Elections:

its time to show the whole world that Change is coming for the better of us all. As for the rest of the world we know that your presidential elections of USa is your internal affairs a matter strictly for you the Americans. God Bless America. And surely we are not Americans !!! but we are watching with keen interest on how RACE, and COLOUR will affect the stage of the Incoming President of the most powerful nation on earth and thus will give clear indicator as to where the world is going !!.  Your internal affairs will eventaully have the other side of the coin as well..... the foreing affairs!! your dealings with the rest of the world. Will those dealings continue as with Bush Administration or will the world's hope and expections for a better and more secure world be a new Leadership Relationship with the new incoming President whether he be McCain or Obama or Hilary? Some say that Obama is too young to lead and that he lacks experience!! haaa let history live to tell the rest of the story to future generations. As for Uganda, Museveni became President of Uganda when he was Young just at the age of 40 and people said he lacked experience in managerial presidential skills, and so was Joseph Kabila President of DRCongo and now we await to see what will become of young Baraka Obama.

In Swahili language

the Lingua Franca of East Africa , and of Kenya where Barack Obama's Dad comes from,

the name BARAKA means GOD'S BLESSING in Swahili, be BLESSED !!

VISITORS to Uganda: Rains, Floods, CHOGM, now its Ebola + 3 other epidemics
Wednesday, December 05, 2007 1:30 PM

Oh Uganda the land of Freedom we lay our future in thy hands, United free for liberty we always stand

First it was the early June rains that went on till early December= these rains caused floods in many areas and especially in Easter and north east Uganda , and later on in central and western Uganda all the way to 2 days before the arrival of Queen for the opening of CHOGM

Was itthe flood rains paving the way for CHOGM ? may be . And then  it was the excitement of CHOGM  22-23 Nov 07

Right after Chogm came another visitor  - it was EBOLA in Bundibugyo District. == that some people could have eaten Nyama Mchomo: Goat meat, worse still that it was  meat of a goat that they found dead may be it had been bitten by the Monkeys that carry the Ebola virus. Thank God the news of Ebola came out at the end of CHOGM or else the Chogm delegates would not have come to Uganda  or they would have run away half way thru the meeting and leaving an aborted meeting Chogm. But thanks to Govt who --- haaaa did they know that Ebola was in Bundibugyo on Border with DRC and kept it a secret till end of Chogm meeting????

After spending 267b Uganda Shillings on preparations for CHOGM, Uganda must now come to terms with a list of unwanted and yet evercoming visitors, the now visitors called EBOLA, http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/600646 ..............  MENINGITIS, BUBONIC PLAGUE, and YELLOW FEVER,......The 4 epidemics are hitting Uganda now http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/600650 ........... but all this is the aftermath of the heavy rains and the floods Uganda has just experienced and may have Uganda wind the clock backwards in terms of development and maintenace of human resources

AIDS and HIV Infection is on the rise in Uganda

Is Kony writing his last script of LRA+Kony=END?
Monday, November 26, 2007 11:40 AM

It is interesting to note that as Uganda and the international community was all excited about the CHOGM in Uganda and anxiously waiting to have a glimpse of the Queen,,,,,,,,, yes as Joshua Kato says ....... at that very same time another story was unfolding...........

Its the story of an estimated 300 Lord's resistance Army (LRA) fighters defected and indicated that they were willing to surrender and accept Uganda govt offer of amnesty. There seems to be a big split in the top command of LRA and Kony seems to be loosing grip of the situation, his fighters are tired of the war and want to come back home .... they know that the African Acholi tribal Culture believes in justice and forgiveness and reconciliation. may be its time the LRA see light at the end of the tunnell and come to peace with the Uganda govt and with their own pipo whom they have massarcered so much in the last 20 yrs

May be the war is coming to an end and te pipo in the north are really tired of this long war that has left the region poor and almost 20 years behing the rest of the regions in Uganda. Its time to develop the region  and give it a chance for it to grow into a SPRINGBOARD for economic investment and recovery,, a recovery that  will benefit Acholi land and  Northern Uganda and the neighbouring Southern Sudan an DRCongo. Its time to wake up and work.

The War seems to be coming to an end says Joshua kato in his article here:

Bunyoro King Iguru boycotts CHOGM-Queen Banquet!
Wednesday, November 21, 2007 3:21 PM

CHOGM is finally in Uganda and the Queen of England has arrived in Uganda. http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/598389

There is a big welcome being given to the Queen and his entourage.   http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/14/598295  and http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/598735

King Solomon Iguru King of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom www.bunyoro-kitara.com , will not attend a banquet organized by the Uganda Government and by President Museveni to honour Queen Elizabeth II who has arrived in Uganda for the Commonwealth meeting. King Iguru wants to be one with his people and show solidarity with them by refusing to attend the banquet being held on 22 Nov at State House.

Bunyoro King boycotts CHOGM-Queen Banquet http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/9/586/597527

http://www.monitor.co.ug/artman/publish/Charles_m/Chogm_Bunyoro_deserves_a_hearing.shtml

The kingdom is demanding compensation for the injustices and attrocities committed by the British against the Banyoro during the colonial era. There is all the evidence that the banyoro and their leader King or Omukama Kabaleega put up a stiff and tough resistance to British plan to colonise his kingdom in the 1870-99. Kabaleega deployed guerilla tacticts and gave a humiliating defeat to the British colonial troops.at the famous battlefield called BALIGOTA ISANSA. Kabaleega was later on captured in 1899 and taken to exile in Seychelles Islands  http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/13/598404  till 1923 when he was brought back but died at Jinja before reaching his kingdomm headquarters Hoima.

The years that followed the capture of Kabaleega and his subsequent death made the Banyoro witnes massive attrocities committed bt the British troops and British colonial Government  whose plan as to leave Bunyoro underdeveloped and thus be able to break the Spirit of the Banyoro and break the Banyoro Resistance to colonial rule. And their plan worked: Bunyoro was depleted of it population  of people and animals and several fertile areas were gazetted forest and game reserves and had the people moved to unproductive land or infertile areas, areas infested with tsetse flies and sleeping sickness thus leading them into the death trap of survival of the fittest

Its only recently after almost 107 years (1899-2006) that Bunyoro is beginning to recover and thanks to the discovery of Bunyoro Oil  http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/9/586/598665  along Lake Albert, there is hope that Bunyoro will develop.

BUT WHY THE BRITISH HATRED FOR BUNYORO? http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/13/598404

AND WHY THE PLAN TO LEAVE BUNYORO UNDERDEVELOPED??

DID THE BRITISH NOT KNOW THAT 100 YRS LATER THE BANYORO WOULD WAKE UP?

DID THE BRITISH KNOW ABOUT THE BUNYORO OIL ALONG LAKE ALBERT?

Africa's tribal heritages are very closely linked and can create a NEW AFRICA
Wednesday, November 07, 2007 10:45 AM

When you look at the continent of Africa, there are a varied number of tribes and the colonial leaders have made it look like the Africans with their  varied tribes can never be one nation or Continental Government. and yet when it came to the 1884 BERLIN CONFERENCE OF THE PARTITION OF AFRICA, then the colonial leaders  were able to cut the big African cake and divide it among themselves some taking the new colonies and subjecting them to study and auqire the language and culture of their colonial masters, the English, French, Spanish, Portuguese. It looks like the partition was done so as to have a share of the natural resources that are may in Africa, And now 2007 it seeems that NEO COLONIALISM is back in a bigger way and determined to take away more of Africas resources.

But also with the partition of Africa into colonies and now into Independent african Nations, we are see that the colonial leaders made big mistakes in dividing tribes and heritages tha were closely knit together and were disrupted and in some case tribes cut into three or two places. Look at the tribes along the borders of Uganda, its the Bakonjo, Bamba,Banyoro,Bagungu Batooro, Alur, Lugbar on both side of Uganda-DRCongo border, its also true of Kakwa, Acholi, Langi, Karamojong tribes along the Uganda Sudan, theKaramojong , Ateso, Bagisu, Padhola, Bagweri, Banyole on Uganda-Kenya, the Baganda and Banyankole on Uganda-Tanzania,the BaKiga, Bahororo, Bafumbira, and Ugandan-Banyarwanda on Uganda-Rwanda Border

Is it possible to look at these tribes and heritage and be able to see the formation of a new Africa where we shall go beyong the whitemans made arbitrary borders that have divide peoples?

MUSEVENI says AFRICAN HERITAGES ARE CLOSELY LINKED an can help create a new AFRICA

Sckepticism Greets New US-Africa Military Command
Wednesday, November 07, 2007 10:27 AM

If you thought that the era of colonizing Africa was in the 1800s and early 1900s till the coming of African Independence movements..... then think about this: it is being said that  Europe China and the US are out to gain control of Africa and that is NEW COLONIALISM or NEO COLONIALISM now inthis 21 century?!!!

The strategic importance of AFRICA and especially its NATURAL RESOURCES  is on the rapid RISE --- and the US Defense Department last month created a new unified US Military Command for the continent of AFRICA

And of late its the US  offering help to Uganda in the field of OIL exploration and processing or production. Why the rsuh of US to Uganda oil? is the fear of CHINA taking over the oil for its own economic development? there we are again being torn between 2 great powers the US and the CHINA who want the OIL? or is all in the name of driving out the Al Qaeda terrorists???
