VISITORS to Uganda: Rains, Floods, CHOGM, now its Ebola + 3 other epidemics
Wednesday, December 05, 2007 1:30 PM

Oh Uganda the land of Freedom we lay our future in thy hands, United free for liberty we always stand

First it was the early June rains that went on till early December= these rains caused floods in many areas and especially in Easter and north east Uganda , and later on in central and western Uganda all the way to 2 days before the arrival of Queen for the opening of CHOGM

Was itthe flood rains paving the way for CHOGM ? may be . And then  it was the excitement of CHOGM  22-23 Nov 07

Right after Chogm came another visitor  - it was EBOLA in Bundibugyo District. == that some people could have eaten Nyama Mchomo: Goat meat, worse still that it was  meat of a goat that they found dead may be it had been bitten by the Monkeys that carry the Ebola virus. Thank God the news of Ebola came out at the end of CHOGM or else the Chogm delegates would not have come to Uganda  or they would have run away half way thru the meeting and leaving an aborted meeting Chogm. But thanks to Govt who --- haaaa did they know that Ebola was in Bundibugyo on Border with DRC and kept it a secret till end of Chogm meeting????

After spending 267b Uganda Shillings on preparations for CHOGM, Uganda must now come to terms with a list of unwanted and yet evercoming visitors, the now visitors called EBOLA, http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/600646 ..............  MENINGITIS, BUBONIC PLAGUE, and YELLOW FEVER,......The 4 epidemics are hitting Uganda now http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/600650 ........... but all this is the aftermath of the heavy rains and the floods Uganda has just experienced and may have Uganda wind the clock backwards in terms of development and maintenace of human resources
