Is Kony writing his last script of LRA+Kony=END?
Monday, November 26, 2007 11:40 AM

It is interesting to note that as Uganda and the international community was all excited about the CHOGM in Uganda and anxiously waiting to have a glimpse of the Queen,,,,,,,,, yes as Joshua Kato says ....... at that very same time another story was unfolding...........

Its the story of an estimated 300 Lord's resistance Army (LRA) fighters defected and indicated that they were willing to surrender and accept Uganda govt offer of amnesty. There seems to be a big split in the top command of LRA and Kony seems to be loosing grip of the situation, his fighters are tired of the war and want to come back home .... they know that the African Acholi tribal Culture believes in justice and forgiveness and reconciliation. may be its time the LRA see light at the end of the tunnell and come to peace with the Uganda govt and with their own pipo whom they have massarcered so much in the last 20 yrs

May be the war is coming to an end and te pipo in the north are really tired of this long war that has left the region poor and almost 20 years behing the rest of the regions in Uganda. Its time to develop the region  and give it a chance for it to grow into a SPRINGBOARD for economic investment and recovery,, a recovery that  will benefit Acholi land and  Northern Uganda and the neighbouring Southern Sudan an DRCongo. Its time to wake up and work.

The War seems to be coming to an end says Joshua kato in his article here:

Bunyoro King Iguru boycotts CHOGM-Queen Banquet!
Wednesday, November 21, 2007 3:21 PM

CHOGM is finally in Uganda and the Queen of England has arrived in Uganda. http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/598389

There is a big welcome being given to the Queen and his entourage.   http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/14/598295  and http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/12/598735

King Solomon Iguru King of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom www.bunyoro-kitara.com , will not attend a banquet organized by the Uganda Government and by President Museveni to honour Queen Elizabeth II who has arrived in Uganda for the Commonwealth meeting. King Iguru wants to be one with his people and show solidarity with them by refusing to attend the banquet being held on 22 Nov at State House.

The kingdom is demanding compensation for the injustices and attrocities committed by the British against the Banyoro during the colonial era. There is all the evidence that the banyoro and their leader King or Omukama Kabaleega put up a stiff and tough resistance to British plan to colonise his kingdom in the 1870-99. Kabaleega deployed guerilla tacticts and gave a humiliating defeat to the British colonial troops.at the famous battlefield called BALIGOTA ISANSA. Kabaleega was later on captured in 1899 and taken to exile in Seychelles Islands  http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/13/598404  till 1923 when he was brought back but died at Jinja before reaching his kingdomm headquarters Hoima.

The years that followed the capture of Kabaleega and his subsequent death made the Banyoro witnes massive attrocities committed bt the British troops and British colonial Government  whose plan as to leave Bunyoro underdeveloped and thus be able to break the Spirit of the Banyoro and break the Banyoro Resistance to colonial rule. And their plan worked: Bunyoro was depleted of it population  of people and animals and several fertile areas were gazetted forest and game reserves and had the people moved to unproductive land or infertile areas, areas infested with tsetse flies and sleeping sickness thus leading them into the death trap of survival of the fittest

Its only recently after almost 107 years (1899-2006) that Bunyoro is beginning to recover and thanks to the discovery of Bunyoro Oil  http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/9/586/598665  along Lake Albert, there is hope that Bunyoro will develop.

BUT WHY THE BRITISH HATRED FOR BUNYORO? http://www.newvision.co.ug/D/8/13/598404

AND WHY THE PLAN TO LEAVE BUNYORO UNDERDEVELOPED??

DID THE BRITISH NOT KNOW THAT 100 YRS LATER THE BANYORO WOULD WAKE UP?

DID THE BRITISH KNOW ABOUT THE BUNYORO OIL ALONG LAKE ALBERT?

Africa's tribal heritages are very closely linked and can create a NEW AFRICA
Wednesday, November 07, 2007 10:45 AM

When you look at the continent of Africa, there are a varied number of tribes and the colonial leaders have made it look like the Africans with their  varied tribes can never be one nation or Continental Government. and yet when it came to the 1884 BERLIN CONFERENCE OF THE PARTITION OF AFRICA, then the colonial leaders  were able to cut the big African cake and divide it among themselves some taking the new colonies and subjecting them to study and auqire the language and culture of their colonial masters, the English, French, Spanish, Portuguese. It looks like the partition was done so as to have a share of the natural resources that are may in Africa, And now 2007 it seeems that NEO COLONIALISM is back in a bigger way and determined to take away more of Africas resources.

But also with the partition of Africa into colonies and now into Independent african Nations, we are see that the colonial leaders made big mistakes in dividing tribes and heritages tha were closely knit together and were disrupted and in some case tribes cut into three or two places. Look at the tribes along the borders of Uganda, its the Bakonjo, Bamba,Banyoro,Bagungu Batooro, Alur, Lugbar on both side of Uganda-DRCongo border, its also true of Kakwa, Acholi, Langi, Karamojong tribes along the Uganda Sudan, theKaramojong , Ateso, Bagisu, Padhola, Bagweri, Banyole on Uganda-Kenya, the Baganda and Banyankole on Uganda-Tanzania,the BaKiga, Bahororo, Bafumbira, and Ugandan-Banyarwanda on Uganda-Rwanda Border

Is it possible to look at these tribes and heritage and be able to see the formation of a new Africa where we shall go beyong the whitemans made arbitrary borders that have divide peoples?

MUSEVENI says AFRICAN HERITAGES ARE CLOSELY LINKED an can help create a new AFRICA

Sckepticism Greets New US-Africa Military Command
Wednesday, November 07, 2007 10:27 AM

If you thought that the era of colonizing Africa was in the 1800s and early 1900s till the coming of African Independence movements..... then think about this: it is being said that  Europe China and the US are out to gain control of Africa and that is NEW COLONIALISM or NEO COLONIALISM now inthis 21 century?!!!

The strategic importance of AFRICA and especially its NATURAL RESOURCES  is on the rapid RISE --- and the US Defense Department last month created a new unified US Military Command for the continent of AFRICA

And of late its the US  offering help to Uganda in the field of OIL exploration and processing or production. Why the rsuh of US to Uganda oil? is the fear of CHINA taking over the oil for its own economic development? there we are again being torn between 2 great powers the US and the CHINA who want the OIL? or is all in the name of driving out the Al Qaeda terrorists???
