Was IDI AMIN brought to power by the Western superpowers?
Its 20 years since the fall of Idi Amin Dada and its 4 years after his death, but what is most shocking is the recent finding that the making of the former president and his coming to power could have been ignited by some external forces outside Uganda which President Obote's intelligence sensors had little knowledge till he was overthrown by Idi Amin Dada who later on became the self acclaimed Life President of the Republic of Uganda.
Oh yes the making of Idi Amin as Uganda's President is still an interesting story of serious inquiry in the Ugandan political history.
It is said that knowing his limitations and excesses, the superpowers GROOMED AMIN and HANDED HIM STATE POWER PRIMARILY TO SERVE THE INTERESTS OF THE WESTERN WORLD WHICH WAS VERY SUSPICIOUS OF OBOTES STRONG OPPOSITION TO THEIR STAND AND AT THE SAME TIME THE WEST WAS WARY OF PRESIDENT OBOTE'S PLANNED NATIONALIZATION OF ALL PROJECTS AND INVESTMENTS THAT THE WEST HAD IN UGANDA. But for the west to have Obote go and to groom and install Amin, Uganda had to pay a very high price : Yes the Economy crumbled, anarchy and brutality followed at a very fast supersonic speed like the speed of Amin's MIG-19, MIG-21, MIG-23 jet fighters used to travel, and in so doing this anarchy, brutality and collapse of the economy easily ripped through the social, moral, religious, cultural and political order and ethic of life with serious side effects that can still be witnessed in Uganda of today.

WAS IT THE WEST FOOLING THE WORLD AND UGANDA?
Why did Amin Dada have great love and sympathy for the Palestinians and the so called Palestinian hijackers of the plane full of Israelis and reached a point of giving them LAND IN KIGUMBA, Masindi District, Bunyoro Kingdom www.bunyoro-kitara.com for their agricultural projects? Amin had plans of KIGUMBA growing from a mere town on the Gulu-Kampala highway to becoming the new capital city of Uganda because it was in the center of Uganda - Amin thought so. These projects were looted and destroyed after the fall of Amin. Its interesting to note that recently there came out the release of the news story now that it could have been the Israelis master minding the hijacking primarily to distract British and US politics in the Mid East? Why would they choose Amin Dada as the main actor and Uganda as the stage for this DRAMA?
