DRCongo's Patrice Lumumba's death - a mystery unveiling itself slowly

When I was young I used to hear alot of pipo in the villages weeping at the sudden death of Patrice Lumumba of Congo. Yes he was the first Prime Minister  of Congo and helped it gain political independence from the Belgian colonial masters.

 But since my childhood I have been very much interested in finding out what happened to Lumumba and why was he loved so much by the Congolese and the Ugandans .... only to find out that he was part of the big movement in the African Continent that was far ahead of his time and was trying to put pressure  on the European countries to grant independence to African colonies that they too may become Independent States .

Patrice Lumumba managed tio get Independence for his pipo but was later on betrayed by his own pipo and by the Belgians who did not want his revolutionary and visionary leadership skills of a united Congo. He realized that the Belgians were destablising his country and sought for help from the then super powers , USA and Russia, but none was interested for fear of blaming the Belgians. then he turned to the UN and they also did not help him much. What followed was chaos and more internal civil strife and military mutinies that also rocked thru many african colonial countires  including the British East Africa of Uganda kenya and Tanzania.

he was captured and taken and never to be seen----- yes killed -- its said by Belgian firing squad, who up to now say they dont know what happened. Mobutu had come to power and left the country in ruins. and then came Kabila Senior and now Kabila Junior as the current President

---- DRCongo is still bleeding and mourning the death of Patrice Lumumba- will DRCongo ever come to unity among the tribes and the many political parties. Why was Uganda, Rwanda and other countries interested in moving thier troops to DRCongo???? we need to go to the roots
