That is because women are sweeter than men. And it is that aluring smell that brings both men and mosquitoes alike to calling. Also, after treating my body like a garbage dump, I feel sometimes that I have a natural repelent, a mixture of chemicals and cig smoke that keeps them away. And I'm naturally sour towards everything. But bless my wife for being able to deal with the sourness.

QS - Finding a bath on my travels this time round where I could soak was not so easy! I had to make do with showers most of the time... and I'd not read your post prior to leaving otherwise I would def have taken some of mom's avon stuff with me...

mad_man - mosquitoes are gendercist I tell ya! Our male counterparts were never at any point troubled. Reminded me of once a time experience with turkeys in Ug. They always picked on us girls and left the boys alone...

Sorry SB,

A friend was telling me the other day to always leave a "gap" when it come to relationships.

What it means is that, anything can happen and you need to be able to keep sane there after.

HOW? Well, how did this person find you before hand? You had your own circle of friends, and things you enjoyed doing.

WE (women) tend to drop everything to please the guys and so when they drop us, we have nothing to continue holding onto that is not linked to him.

Its sad, yes, but its the reality.

Avon product skin so soft they stay away from you. They do not like the scent. One drop in your bath will do the trick. Avoid wearing blue coloured clothes. Mostquitos like blue color

Look, mosquitoes don't like fights. When they attack, u gotta take the fight 2 them. Most of them r aware I don't sit back and they keep out of my way (yes, if I am sleeping and I hear one buzzing past my face I wake up and hunt it down). I am so incensed with pests that like 2 feed off me (look, I am a skinny guy and hate any1/anything sucking from me) that much. I sleep under a net. Any mossies that get into the net r sure looking 4 a fight - a big one. No retreat, no surrender for me. Either I don't get bitten or they get beaten!!

I would like to kindly discredit this. I have a diet of eating large amounts of red meat that is high in iron. One of my first trips to K'la I had the pleasure of feeding a few hundred mosquitoes. At night these pest would gourge themselves on my high iron blood so much so that in the morning when I would get out of bed in the morning I would see them getting out of bed also and I would let them out because they were so fat they couldn't fly. One deterrent that I've heard about and used is sulfur. I first heard of this when I was in the Army, the eating of match sticks heads that contain sulfur. Also there are sulfur tablets. And it just may be that women have sweeter blood than men, not only does it attract mosquitoes, it also attracts men.

Easy now Kaks. Its always easier to yap on about something observed than anything personal. Commuting to work and using the time in-between to study all that is around me gives me food for thought in these blogs...Its just getting the time to sit down long enuff to write it that in the end determines what is what.
